All over the world on this day the "Earthday" is celebrated.
Because it is the day for the earth, our English group looked outside, because the most of us wanted to work outside. We found a bed with a lot of weed and we decided to clean the bed so that later on, we can plant some flowers for the bees in the bed.
So Mrs Frangen went to the facility manager, Mr Krupke and rent a wheelbarrow. She also went to Mrs Faube and fetched the Key for the shed. The Erik took out the spade, gloves and rakes. And now our work could start. We plucked the weed, put the weed into the wheelbarrow and Joschua brought it to an empty grassland. Mostly, we took out quitches with very long roots. It was very hard work. All the time we tried to speak English. Sometimes we did not know the English words, then we mixed German and English and the we spoke "denglish". That was a lot of fun, better than English lesson in the classroom. And so the time flew away. When it was 9.30 we had to stop with our work, although it was not finished. Florian brought the key back to Mrs. Faube and Joschua brought the wheelbarrow back to Mr Krupke. But if we will have time again, we will work again outside in the bed. (Jan B. and Joschua L.)
On the photo I can see our schoolgarden. In the foreground I can see a bed and in the background I can see a shed and behind trees. On the left side I can see a wheelbarrow. I can see my friend Jan, he is looking down to the bed. David has a spade, he is digging in the earth. There are a lot of other people, Erik, Joschua, Yasmin, Mrs Bedenk and Mrs Frangen, they all are working in the schoolgarden and are helping eachother. I Think, the situation shows the Earthday on the 22nd April. It is a day for the earth. (Julian H.)
